An amazing shot of the very photogenic Herd Groyne Lighthouse in South Shields with an approaching ship on the horizon…
Built 144 years ago in 1882, the Victorian Herd Groyne lighthouse remains a strategic navigational aid for vessels to this day, and even has a working ‘fog bell’.

The 13 meter structure was recently given a £250,000 refurbishment and continues to attract visitors and photographers all year round.
