I made a trip to St Paul’s Monastery in Jarrow and I wasn’t disappointed…
St Paul’s Monastery is approximately 1,345 years old and was founded in AD 681 by Benedict Biscop. It’s church was dedicated on April 23, AD 685, making it one of the oldest Christian monastic sites in England.
An incredibly historic building with friendly volunteers and really nice ambience to sit and relax and reflect.
