The amazing installation was created in 2014 by local artist Ray Lonsdale who is a steel fabricator from Durham.
Manufactured in corten steel which weathers over time, ‘Tommy’ sports his full equipment including puttees, Lee Enfield rifle, pouches, belt and stands over nine feet tall and resides permanently on the seafront at Seaham.
