Well known and respected by those who dare to venture into its welcoming ‘arms’, the North Sea has a dark side that can often change quickly, luring its unsuspecting victims into a false sense of comfort and safety.
It was only 12 months ago when large rocks thrown up by the strong breakers, crashing through the windscreens of various vehicles on the seafront car park.
The spokesman said: “If you get hit by one of these things and then dragged into the water by a ton of falling water, you’re not likely to last more than minutes in these baltic temperatures.
