Christmas is only a few weeks away and the weather has already shown it’s true colours, as the snow hit Fulwell Windmill and surrounding areas hard today, 30th November 2017.
Annoyingly the MET predicted ‘occasional heavy wintry showers’ during Thursday afternoon and evening, unfortunately these came earlier than expected, around 8.30am.
The end product was approximately 6cm of heavy snow battering the morning traffic and our beloved Fulwell Windmill.
As you may already know the cap and fantail are now installed. The completion of the sails will be finalised in January 2018, with opening ceremony following TBA.
Having undergone a major transformation, Fulwell Windmill Visitor Centre is now open to the public.
The centre includes a new café and community outreach programme.
Fulwell Mill Tearooms are now open to the public Wednesday – Saturday 10am-3pm, this may change as and when the mill becomes fully operational from around December 15th 2017.
