Restoration works by engineers on the iconic Fulwell Windmill are now nearing completion, with a scheduled date for sails to be fitted in December. Scafolding will be taken down prior to the installation, unveiling the new works and rendered stone work.

Residents and visitors will be pleased to see the transformed Mill sitting proudly at the head of Newcastle Road, Fulwell.

We have endeavoured to gather and cover that process with various images and video files, but like everything need your help to maximise the beautiful Mill’s full potential.

Having built the site recently, additional items and information are being given attention. The new gallery is one of those valuable requirements that enhances the user experience, but also allows for anyone to click and send us their favourite pictures.

As mentioned previously, as a 20 plus years resident of Fulwell my reasons for building the site and the social media platforms attached to it were, and remain to embrace this sometimes forgotten iconic landmark called Fulwell Windmill.
